Demo · play money
Privacy
Roamloot is a demo that runs on play money. Here is what it keeps about you and why, in plain words.
What we keep
Your email (to sign you in), the name and handle you choose, your play-money wallet, and what you find, hide and join. If you add a business, its name and the pin you placed.
Your location
We use your location to show drops near you and to check that you were really at a drop when you claim it. The exact spot of a drop is only sent to your phone when you are within 30 m.
How long location is kept
Location checks from a hunt are deleted after 7 days. Claim attempts and the location evidence that goes with them are kept for up to 90 days, so a claim can be checked if something looks wrong, then deleted.
Friends
Sharing where you are with friends is off until you turn it on, and only mutual friends see it. It is rounded to about 100 m, removed after 15 minutes, and removed at once when you turn it off. Strangers never see where you are.
The camera
The “You’re here” camera view stays on your phone. We don’t record, keep or upload it.
Who sees what
Other people see your name on a drop only if you choose to show it. A shared find shows what was found and the area, never who found it or the exact spot. We don’t sell your data, run ads or use trackers.
Your choices
You can turn location sharing and your name on drops off in Settings at any time. To get a copy of your data or have your account deleted, ask the Roamloot team who gave you access to this demo.
